Antonella was born on 6 August 1991 in Mottola (Taranto), Puglia.
As a child, she was a Motocross and Volleyball enthusiast and wore quicksilver, a little girl who never stopped at school too. So the family and teacher encouraged her to run the Youth Games.
After some time Antonella begins to try the gear where she is immediately at ease and begins to win by setting records after records at a youth level. She is a very talented athlete also in the strategic management of the race which leads her to express herself at her best in the last half hour of the race.
Antonella has various hobbies: Interior Design, Photography and she likes to race in a car in the racetrack.
Antonella also has a real passion for hair and hairstyles and she likes to change color often. This passion is accompanied by a tradition that applies to her international competitions.
The story begins in 2010, when Antonella’s mother sews her a flower of hair fabric for the World Cup, which she then wins at 19. The hair flower thus becomes a good luck charm and in every international competition Antonella’s mother sews one in two layers, one with the colors of Italy and one with the colors of the host nation of the competition. Plus she has one with the colors of her Club, the Yellow Flames.
She has since called herself her and is known as the flower-headed walker.
In 2021 Antonella wins the Tokyo Olympics with a time of 1h 29m 12 ‘
