Francesco Caselli

In 1997 Professor Caselli became an assistant professor at the Graduate School of Business, University of Chicago. He stayed there until 2000 after which he received a job offer as an Assistant Professor at Harvard University. In 2002 he became a Professor of Political Economy at Harvard.
It was not until 2005 that Professor Caselli got a position at LSE as a Professor of Economics, a position he is currently holding. Apart from an impressive academic career he holds many positions at various economic institutes, associations and journals.
These include short visits at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and at International Monetary Fund, the position of the Director of Macroeconomics Program at CEP, Research Fellow at NBER and CEPR, Council Member of the European Economic Association and various editorial positions at prestigious journals such as the Quarterly Journal of Economics, Review of Economic Studies, Journal of Economic Growth and so forth.
In addition to this Professor Caselli received numerous grants, like the Banco de Espana Professor (2009-2010), Warburg Professor Funds, Harvard University (2004) and the NSF Starter Award (1999-2001), to metion only some of them.
Professor Caselli is a young and dynamic speaker and frequently invited to international conferences and meetings around the World.
