Carlo Bastasin is a Senior Fellow, currently non-resident, at Brookings Institution (Washington) in the Foreign Policy Department. He is Resident Senior Fellow at the School of European Political Economy of Luiss University (Rome). For the same institute he is serving as professor of European Political Economy.
He is also an editorialist for the Italian daily “Il Sole-24 Ore”. He has been associated as Senior Fellow with Brookings since 2011, formerly he worked as an economist for the Peterson Institute for International Economics (Washington).
After graduating in International Monetary Theory at Università Bocconi (Milano) and a post-lauream specialization, he had a long experience in journalism. He served as German correspondent for “Il Sole-24 Ore” and then as deputy editor-in-chief for “La Stampa”.
His latest book is “Saving Europe – Anatomy of a Dream” – Brookings Institution Press (Washington) 2015, whose first edition was indicated among the best books published that year in the United States.
