Professional Profile:
Has worked for over 10 years as a Prop and agency Trader at Bnp Paribas and Merrill Lynch between Paris and London on fx, bonds and equities. Back to Italy in 2002 he became Fund Manager and Head of Investments at Nuovi Investimenti Sim – Alpi Fondi SGR where he won for 3 times the title of best manager in Italy in the global bond category. He also structured and launched one of the first sustainable equity funds (Alpi Risorse Naturali, 2005).
From 2013 he has been working for Banca Patrimoni Sella, the largest family owned private bank in Italy (aum 22b). He is Head of Market Analysis and since 2021 he also focuses on sustainability issues. He is a member of the bank investment committee. He seats on the board of Obsidian Capital SGR since 2018, the fast growing alternative investment manager based in Turin where he also heads the sustainability committee.
He is a graduate of Bocconi University (1992) with a major in finance and exchange programs at McGill and HEC. In 1999 he graduated from Insead MBA. He is fluent in English, French and has a working knowledge of Spanish.
His passions are travelling and mountainbiking. He has extensively travelled around the world and visited over 80 countries. Mr Chiorino is married and has 2 daughters.
